Intern Scientist, R&D Chemistry (6‑month internship)
This internship is open to recent graduates and students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
What you’ll do- Assist with planning and executing laboratory experiments in support of chemical research and product or process development projects.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and test materials in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Collect, record, and organize experimental data accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Perform routine analytical testing and basic data analysis to support interpretation of results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Support troubleshooting activities and help identify process or formulation improvement opportunities.
- Prepare summaries, charts, and reports to communicate findings and project progress.
- Assist with ordering and managing inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Follow all laboratory safety, environmental, and quality procedures at all times.
- Possessing or pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Completed coursework in general chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related laboratory sciences.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques, chemical handling, and safe work practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Intern programs including lunch and learns, networking, and professional and social development.
- Access to company marketplaces for lunch and snacks in most offices and a subsidized cafeteria at the Waltham, MA headquarters.

Work Location: on‑site in our Waltham facility, 5 days per week (M‑F).
Targeted Salary Range: $20 – $28 per hour.
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
