The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Senior Cell Therapy Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Waltham, MA and will later move to Cambridge this year.
Title: Scientist/Senior Scientist Bioscience
Location: Waltham, MA - will be moving to Cambridge later this year
Duration: 6 months (with possible extension/hire)
Pay range: $50-61 per Hour on W2
Overview- PhD level scientist or someone with 10+ years is a must
- CAR T-cell experience / cell therapy experience (at least 2-3+ years of experience with CAR T-cell experience)
- Discovery group experience / not in process development
- Need someone with biological assays experience
- In vitro side is the main focus of this position
- In vivo experience is a plus but not required
- Mouse experience
- Publication in cell therapy would be a big indicator they are a decent fit
- Degree in cell therapy or immunology is a plus
- Someone who can jump into lab immediately - execute these assays
- Cytotoxicity assays
- Onsite interviews highly preferred
- 100% lab based position
Seeking a hands-on Senior Scientist to support cell therapy programs focused on autoimmune and immunology indications. This role will lead in vitro target validation and functional characterization of engineered cell therapies, with a strong emphasis on CAR‑T research, complex immunological assays, and data-driven program advancement. The position requires independent experimental execution, cross-functional collaboration, and scientific leadership within a discovery research environment.
- Design, execute, and optimize in vitro assays to evaluate engineered cell therapies and therapeutic targets
- Perform target validation studies using primary human cells and functional co-culture systems
- Characterize CAR‑T cell activity through cytotoxicity, proliferation, phenotyping, and cytokine analysis assays
- Develop mechanism-of-action studies to support cell therapy discovery programs
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to guide program decisions and target selection
- Utilize flow cytometry and multiplex immunological assays to assess cellular function and immune responses
- Maintain high-quality experimental documentation and data records
- Present scientific findings, risks, and recommendations to project teams and leadership
- Support study planning, milestone execution, and cross-functional research initiatives
- Contribute to translational research activities advancing cell therapy candidates toward development
- PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline with 0–5 years of relevant experience; OR
- MS or BS in a related scientific field with significant industry experience in cell therapy, immunology, or translational research
