We are seeking a highly motivated Post Doctoral Fellow to join our Purification Process Development team.
The Genomic Medicine Unit (GMU) Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) group at Sanofi is dedicated to the establishment of best-in-class manufacturing platforms to support the development of life-changing advanced gene therapy products, including recombinant Adeno-associated viral vectors (AAV) and non-viral gene therapy products. We are seeking a highly motivated and creative scientist to join the Purification Process Development team as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
This position focuses on advancing the application of machine learning to facilitate anion exchange (AEX) chromatography for full vector enrichment in AAV drug substance process development. Additionally, the fellow will have significant opportunities to contribute to Sanofi's digital transformation by collaborating on projects with other CMC teams and global process modeling and data science teams.

Main Responsibilities- Systematically collect, clean, and analyze AEX chromatography data to enable advanced data analysis.
- Build and evaluate predictive machine learning models.
- Integrate predictive machine learning models with the chromatography system to enable real-time decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present scientific findings.
- Draft technical reports and external publications to summarize scientific findings.
- Currently holding a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, bioinformatics, cheminformatics or data science with a strong track record of publications.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H‑1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co‑op/internship.
- Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co‑op/internship.
- Strong laboratory experience and technical expertise in chromatography.
- Knowledge and hands‑on experience with machine learning methodologies.
