CompensationIn accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non‑discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.50.
Role OverviewThe Apparel Lead will be responsible for overseeing the apparel department, ensuring the highest level of customer service, and driving sales. This role involves managing inventory, merchandising, and executing seasonal strategies to meet financial goals. The Apparel Lead does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but plays a critical role in supporting business performance and enhancing the Member experience.
Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members, answering their questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, coordinate with the Club Leadership team to ensure product availability, maintain backstock organization, and manage clearance, salvage, and markdown execution to achieve sell‑through goals.
- Merchandising: Implement and maintain planograms and visual merchandising Gold Standards to create an appealing shopping environment and ensure displays are attractive, organized, and stocked. Follow guidance, playbooks, and planograms.
- Gold Standards Compliance: Ensure all apparel displays and merchandise meet BJ’s Gold Standards for presentation and cleanliness. Products are organized and stacked to correct heights and remain current with company expectations.
- Planogram (POG) Execution: Set up and maintain HVS and apparel tables/displays according to current Planogram guidelines. Ensure products are correctly placed and signed accurately.
- Pricing and Promotions: Ensure promotional events and signage are visible, accurate and executed timely.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Train, influence, motivate and support the apparel team to achieve sales goals and maintain high performance standards. Act as the subject‑matter expert on visual merchandising and presentation standards.
- Communication: Provide feedback and maintain open lines of communication on ways to improve the member experience and overall business.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.
- Know Your Business: Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for your department, and see the connection between consistent execution and the positive impact on the business.
- Club Standards: Work with commitment and pride to deliver GOLD‑Grand Opening Look daily: all items stocked, promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, and maintain a clean and organized interior and exterior.

Experience:
Minimum of 2‑3 years in a retail environment, preferably soft lines, apparel or fashion. - Organizational

Task‑oriented, reliable, and a goal‑setter. - Customer Service: Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service and resolving issues.
- Merchandising Knowledge: Familiarity with merchandising principles and experience with Planogram execution.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces.
- Regular lifting up to 30 pounds; occasional heavier lifting with assistance.
