Hourly Range: $26.44 - $31.25
Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid, 3x per week in office)
Job OverviewThe Sales Administrator plays a critical role in supporting revenue generation by ensuring accurate order processing, maintaining CRM integrity, and enabling the sales team to operate efficiently. This role serves as the operational backbone of the sales function, managing Salesforce data, supporting client communications, and delivering reporting insights that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities- Process and manage incoming customer orders using Salesforce CRM.
- Review and validate order details against approved quotations to ensure pricing and data accuracy.
- Contact clients to obtain missing documentation or clarify order discrepancies.
- Maintain and update customer records, quotations, contracts, and opportunity data within Salesforce.
- Monitor and follow up on open quotations and pending orders to support timely revenue conversion.
- Generate biweekly and monthly sales performance reports for leadership and sales representatives.
- Support onboarding and training of new Salesforce users within the sales team.
- Perform basic Salesforce configuration updates, including field edits, workflow adjustments, and report modifications.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure smooth order fulfilment and invoicing.
- Logistics Support:
Ensure accuracy of all shipment documentation, coordinate courier shipping requests, and provide clients with tracking updates through successful delivery. - Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and data accuracy within the sales cycle.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in Sales Administration, Sales Operations, or Customer Support.
- Hands-on experience using Salesforce CRM is highly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting functions.
- Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience generating sales reports and analyzing sales data.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce (reporting dashboards, data entry, workflow understanding) preferred.
