Job Summary
A Relationship Banker at Santander serves as a trusted advisor to customers, focusing on building strong, long‑lasting relationships by understanding their financial needs and goals. The role involves providing tailored solutions for banking, lending and investment products while delivering exceptional customer service. Relationship Bankers proactively engage with customers to identify opportunities for cross‑selling, resolve issues, and educate them on digital banking tools.
Responsibilities- Achieve or exceed sales targets by promoting and cross‑selling banking products and services to existing and prospective customers.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Proactively prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, lead calling, portfolio management and community engagement.
- Manage the financial needs of customers including transactional, servicing and product requests.
- Deliver an elevated customer experience with personalized, seamless and attentive service.
- Foster customer loyalty by addressing concerns and providing timely resolutions.
- Engage customers through digital platforms to enhance interactions and educate them on self‑service options.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in person, over the phone or through digital channels.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk and fraud defense.
- Collaborate with team members and partners to achieve branch goals and drive overall performance.
- May support nearby branch locations as business necessity dictates.
The following qualifications are required; equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least 3+ years of experience selling products and/or services in an incentive‑based environment.
- At least 12+ months of experience in retail banking sales, financial services sales or consultative relationship sales.
- At least 12+ months of successful Santander experience related to the role, endorsed by appropriate executives.
- At least 12+ months of customer service experience within a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
- Established relationship‑building skills focused on customer experience and loyalty.
- Excellent customer service skills and passion for helping others.
- Proven track record in sales and cross‑selling products and services.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Excellent communication, consultative and influence skills, verbal and written.
- Professional image and credibility at all times.
- Proficiency with digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement.
- Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
- Ability to identify and elevate risk concerns to appropriate channels.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple priorities.
- Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
- Availability for branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
- High school diploma or GED – required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience – preferred.
No certifications required for this position.

Pay RangeBase pay range: $38,250.00 – $61,000.00 USD per annum.
