Director of Sales (DOS) Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham Pyramid Global Hospitality
Position Overview
The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for leading the overall sales strategy and revenue generation efforts for Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham, a premier all-suite hotel serving the Greater Boston market. Ideally located along Route 128/I-95 and minutes from downtown Boston, Cambridge, and Lexington, the hotel is well-positioned to capture corporate, group, association, government, biotechnology, technology, education, and social event business.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and partnering closely with Pyramid Global Hospitality's regional sales, marketing, and revenue management leaders, the Director of Sales is responsible for driving top-line revenue performance across all market segments, including group, corporate, transient, leisure, catering, and business travel. This highly visible Executive Committee position requires a strategic, proactive, and results‑driven sales leader who can maximize Hilton's commercial resources, distribution channels, and Hilton Honors platform while maintaining the hotel's strong market presence and competitive positioning.
The Director of Sales combines strategic leadership, direct selling, account development, team leadership, and business planning to achieve revenue goals and increase market share.
- Lead all sales initiatives with a focus on corporate, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, technology, healthcare, education, government, association, social, and group business segments.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales Business Plan that supports revenue objectives, market share growth, and ownership goals.
- Drive direct sales efforts utilizing Hilton sales resources, Hilton Honors, and distribution channels while maintaining a proactive approach to prospecting, client engagement, and business development.
- Build and strengthen relationships with Hilton National Sales, key accounts, corporate partners, meeting planners, local businesses, destination organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Expand market share through targeted strategies focused on corporate travel, group meetings, association business, government accounts, sports travel, and SMERF segments.
- Strategically manage key accounts and develop long‑term partnerships that generate sustainable revenue growth and customer loyalty.
- Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, segmentation, forecasting, and channel strategies utilizing Hilton systems and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and performance excellence.
- Partner with marketing resources to support digital marketing, social media, public relations, local partnerships, and promotional campaigns that enhance the hotel's visibility and market presence.
- Represent the hotel within the Greater Boston business community and actively participate in industry organizations, networking events, and destination partnerships.
- Prepare and present accurate forecasts, sales reports, market analyses, and business reviews to ownership and executive leadership.
- Serve as a key member of the Executive Committee, contributing to overall hotel strategy, guest satisfaction initiatives, operational excellence, and culture development.
