Job Summary:

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Hematology Account Manager to sell the Glo Cyte Automated Cell Counter for Cerebrospinal Fluid throughout the Northeast region of the United States. As an integral member of the Nova Biomedical team, the Hematology Account Manager will work directly with existing and prospective customers to understand their needs, deliver product demonstrations, and provide exceptional product support. The primary objective of this role is to meet or exceed established sales targets within acceptable profit goals.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and time‑management skills and be self‑motivated, energetic, adaptable, and eager to learn. This individual will demonstrate a high level of commitment and initiative, a desire to make a meaningful difference, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, lead qualification, virtual and on‑site product demonstrations, quotations, negotiations, and post‑sale follow‑up.
  • Meet or exceed established sales objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute an outbound calling plan to generate product interest and new business opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of consultative selling expertise and product and application knowledge, including the features and benefits required to translate customer needs into sales.
  • Develop and maintain effective time‑management, territory‑management, and account‑management practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, account, and opportunity data in Salesforce.
  • Provide regular and accurate territory forecasts through Salesforce.
  • Participate in or support local, regional, and national trade shows as requested.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and coordinate customer installations and training.
  • Build relationships with procurement departments to help streamline product approval and purchasing processes.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with Marketing to promote collaboration and alignment on effective selling strategies.
  • Respond to account problems or complaints through direct action or by securing assistance and support from appropriate internal teams.
  • Serve as a liaison for reporting customer complaints in accordance with established procedures.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily sales activities focused on current customers and prospective opportunities.
  • Complete required reports and maintain customer information accurately and consistently.
  • Provide management with feedback regarding emerging applications, competitive activity, and marketplace developments.
  • Maintain current product knowledge, competitive awareness, and a customer‑focused approach.
  • Contribute to a professional sales environment through positive interactions with customers, sales colleagues, and internal departments.
  • Follow all applicable local safety procedures and state and federal OSHA regulations and report identified safety concerns.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory, sometimes on short notice.
Physical Requirements and

Working Conditions:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Documented success in medical clinical laboratory capital equipment and disposable product sales required.
  • Technical proficiency in hematology, microbiology, and/or clinical chemistry required.
