Location:
Life Science Facility in Waltham, MA.
About this location: 250k sq ft 2 buildings – Offices and Labs.
Days with flexibility of start time 7:00‑8:00.

What You’ll Do- Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds under close supervision, assisting in monitoring building system operations and performance.
- Use trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, dry‑wall patching, doors & locks.
- Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Perform assigned day‑to‑day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; complete maintenance and repair records as required.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, and order necessary materials and supplies.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings.
- Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
- Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
- Perform carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive attitude.
