Human Services Coordinator II
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) offers a career growth opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to serve as a Human Services Coordinator Supervisor (Human Services Coordinator II) in the Charles River West Area Office in Waltham.
Responsibilities- Build respectful and collaborative partnerships with individuals, families, guardians, provider agencies, and other stakeholder groups.
- Provide direct supervision, support, consultation, and orientation to assigned Human Service Coordinators (HSC I) and other staff.
- Serve as a critical member of the Area Office management team in planning and resource allocation activities involving community services.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate the work of assigned staff, incorporating administrative, supportive, and educational components.
- Monitor Individual Service Plans and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Ensure case documentation is maintained and consistent with standards.
- Identify cases involving health, safety, risk, and changing needs; bring them to the attention of the Area Director or designee while engaging in problem solving.
- Monitor and provide consistent performance planning, feedback, and evaluations to assigned staff.
- Provide coverage if an HSC I is absent from work.
- Ability to supervise, including planning and assigning work, controlling work, determining training needs, motivating staff, and determining disciplinary action.
- Demonstrate sound judgment with reasoned decision‑making, calmness in stressful situations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships.
- Prioritize and respond to multiple demands.
- Seek guidance, support, and take direction from supervisors and clinical consultants when needed.
- At least four (4) years of full‑time, or equivalent part‑time, case management or clinical/therapeutic experience. A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of supervision.
- Skilled use of personal computers, software, and maintaining individual records databases.
- Knowledge of documentation necessary for Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
- Knowledge of DDS and generic programs, services, and resources available to individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to act as an advocate of human rights.
Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Flexibility required. Days off:
Sunday and Saturday.

SalaryAnnual salary range: $75,463.18 – $.
