HGV TECHNICIAN
Location:
Walthamstow
Salary: £51,000 to £53,000- DOE + Overtime + Benefits + Pay rise
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 On 4 Off / 3 On 3 Off Rotating | 06:00-18:00
Are you an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic looking for a permanent position with a well-established company?
The Role- Carrying out scheduled servicing and routine maintenance on HGVs
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and completing effective repairs
- Inspecting vehicles and identifying potential issues before they result in breakdowns
- Carrying out preventative maintenance to maximise vehicle reliability
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and other compliance inspections
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA requirements and company standards
- Maintaining accurate workshop records, job cards and service documentation
- Working safely and following all relevant health and safety procedures
- Supporting the wider workshop team to maintain fleet availability
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, or an equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
- A safety-conscious approach to all aspects of your work
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous
