Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join our clients team working on void social housing properties in the Walton-on-Thames area. This role involves carrying out a wide range of carpentry and associated multi-trade works to bring vacant properties back to a lettable standard.

The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting productivity and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out carpentry works including door hanging, kitchen fitting, skirting, architraves, flooring, and repairs

Undertake associated multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and decorating as required

Complete refurbishment and repair works on void properties to agreed standards and timescales

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations

Accurately record completed works using job sheets or handheld devices

Maintain the company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition

Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally

Essential Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or a relevant trade (or equivalent qualification/experience)

Proven experience working as a Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative, ideally within social housing or voids

Full UK driving licence

Strong understanding of health & safety regulations

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Good communication and problem-solving skills
