Join the WPS Team – Make a Difference in Social Housing

WPS invites applications for a Carpenter Multi Trader to join our Responsive Maintenance division. Based in our Walton‑on‑Thames office, you will help bring empty homes back to a high standard for new residents on a busy social housing contract.

• Carry out repair, renewal and reinstatement works within void properties.
• Complete a variety of carpentry and multi‑trade tasks to prepare homes for re‑let.
• Advise your supervisor when additional trades are required.
• Work independently or alongside other operatives to complete void refurbishments.
• Maintain daily work sheets detailing tasks completed and materials used.
• Ensure all works are finished productively, safely and to a high standard.

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• NVQ L2 in Carpentry or a similar trade qualification.
• Proven experience in carpentry and multi‑trade work, preferably within voids or social housing.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality workmanship while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Customer‑focused attitude and commitment to maintaining property standards.
