Inventory Control Specialist
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Inventory Control Manager, Braen Supply
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage robust inventory control procedures and best practices (e.g., cycle counting, physical inventory reconciliation)
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and recommend corrective actions
- Track and adjust stock levels in the ERP or inventory management system
- Collaborate with yard leads, and purchasing to maintain accurate data on incoming and outgoing products
- Audit inbound deliveries and outbound shipments for accuracy and proper documentation
- Flag slow-moving, obsolete, or overstocked inventory for review
- Support inventory planning for seasonal product shifts or promotions
- Help enforce best practices and inventory control standards
- Assist in preparing for internal or external inventory audits
- Use best practices for product labeling, bin location use, and proper inventory transactions
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required
- 2 years plus of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or operations management
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles (e.g., ABC analysis, EOQ, Just-in-Time)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data visualization)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Clean driving record with ability to travel between Braen Supply locations
- Prolonged periods of driving between locations
- Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs at times
- Must be physically fit, able to assist with moving of equipment/supplies, etc. and climb stairs
- This is a full-time position
- Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm - Schedule is fluid, dependent upon need
- Travel between all current and future Braen Supply locations will be required
Pay Range: $26.00 - $33.00/Hour
