Weekend Residential Counselor

Salary: $19.83/Hour

FCA is seeking a Weekend Residential Counselor for Nassau Haven, an emergency shelter for youth ages 10 to 20 that provides short-term housing, case management and crisis intervention to runaway and homeless youth in Nassau County.

• Provide supervision and direct counseling to residents.
• Employ trauma-sensitive practices.
• Ensure that the program is operating in compliance with all regulatory, agency, and funding requirements.
• Supervise residents with daily activities, recreational activities, wake‑ups and other needs.
• Monitor and complete all household chores and ensure meals are prepared on a daily basis.
• Complete comprehensive Medicaid billable case notes and progress notes and submit by the required deadlines.
• Ensure the medication management procedures are properly followed.
• Transport residents to and from appointments, recreational activities, household errands or as otherwise required.

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic computer skills.
• 1 year of experience working with youth/young adults
• Valid driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history.
