Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Stansted Abbotts, Near Ware

Salary: M1 - UPS - £34,398-£52,490 (SEN allowance depending on experience)

Hours: Full Time - Term time only

Contract: Permanent

We are currently seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join a Specialist School and sports college supporting students aged 2‑10 with severe learning difficulties and other complex mental and physical needs.

The role offers the successful candidate to gain support and a personalised CPD to develop leadership skills as well as receiving mentorship from the senior leadership team. You will be supported to meet the threshold of standards and have a key input in the wider curriculum and staff development.

• Responsible for the long, medium and short term planning of the curriculum and delivery of lessons
• Management of pupil behaviour in accordance with the schemes of work
• Mazimise Teaching and Learning through effective management of human resources
• Monitoring of pupils progress through target setting and writing of individual education plans
• Assess and report on development for EHCP's
• Liaise with other professionals:
  Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Advisory Teachers, Medical Professionals etc.

• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• QTS status is highly desirable
• Experience with in an SEN / SEMH setting is essential
