Job DescriptionWare Junior Senior High School is seeking an Intervention Specialist for Reading & Writing. Applicants should have deep knowledge of the reading processes, acquisition, assessment, and instruction. The responsibilities of the Intervention Specialist include reviewing student work, using data to inform instruction, supporting classroom reading instruction, modeling reading instructional strategies, providing a wide range of supplementary resources, and developing curriculum and materials to align with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
The Specialist will monitor student progress on DIBELS, Benchmark Assessment System (BAS), and Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), identify learning problems, and provide guidance to assist both teachers and students. The role involves complex professional work, providing teaching and/or training services to teachers and students in reading instruction.
Compensation: $54,373-$93,870, commensurate with experience
