Music Teacher – Grades 4-6

Starting Date: Aug 24, 2026

Compensation: $54,373 - $93,870, commensurate with experience

• Teach music education to students in grades 4-6.
• Assist school staff in improving and appreciating music instruction.
• Teach beginning instrumental students.
• Utilize positive classroom management techniques, respond to student diversity, integrate arts of various cultures, and thrive in a rural setting.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
• Design engaging lessons, units, and assessments aligned to MA Frameworks for Music.
• Integrate other academic subjects to enhance student understanding of arts and related content.
• Hold a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as an Academic:
  Teacher, Music:
  Vocal/Instrumental/General, All Levels.
• Implement evaluation procedures using rubrics to assess student progress, including English language learners and special education inclusion classrooms.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Continuously evaluate and refine instructional strategies, including effective use of technology to increase student learning.

• Current and valid MA DESE license in music, with demonstrated interest in children, music, and education.
• Letter of Interest.
• Transcripts.
• Three (3) current or prior employment letters of reference.
• At least one year of relevant experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
