- Deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
- Foster a nurturing and positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
- Focus closely on early literacy, including robust delivery of Phonics (e.g., Little Wandle, Read Write Inc.).
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Early Years (EYFS), with a strong focus on the Year 1 curriculum.
- Excellent knowledge and confident delivery of early reading and Phonics programmes.
- Effective classroom management skills paired with a warm, encouraging approach.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
