Domestic Violence Advocacy Intern - Fall

Overview

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Domestic Violence Services Intern in our Domestic Violence Advocacy programs at Behavioral Health Network.

This internship opportunity will support your learning in the following:

• Learning about the dynamics of Domestic Violence, prevention, and awareness.
• Shadowing and practicing case management and peer counseling skills.
• Learning court procedures around domestic violence with Safe Plan advocates, including protection orders.
• Training on completion of data entry of domestic violence information into a database.
• Involvement in DV education and/or support groups, including how to develop and facilitate groups and trainings.
• Accompanying to Task Force Meetings and DV awareness trainings, if possible.
• Using BHN technology and ability to access WIFI and systems to perform duties while offsite.

• Enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s with a related degree (required).
• Reliable transportation to the greater Ware, MA area (required).

Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-4:00pm, flexible as needed.

Unpaid due to course credit.
