The Recovery Center of HOPE (RCH) https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). a program of the Western Massachusetts Training Consortium, is seeking a full-time, in-person Assistant Program Director to join its team.

This role serves as a key leadership position within the Recovery Center of HOPE, helping guide the daily operations, team support, programming, and community culture of the center while advancing a peer participatory, recovery-oriented mission.

The Assistant Program Director will help steward the day‑to‑day heartbeat of the Recovery Center of HOPE by supporting the team, facilitating programming, strengthening consistency, and helping create the conditions for meaningful community connection, recovery, and belonging. This role requires someone who can balance leadership and collaboration while managing multiple moving priorities in a fast‑paced, community‑centered environment that often requires flexibility, responsiveness, and the ability to pivot with intention and grace.

Position Overview

The Assistant Program Director serves as the operational and relational “anchor” of the Recovery Center of HOPE. This person helps ensure that the daily flow of the center remains organized, supportive, recovery‑oriented, and aligned with the mission and values of the center. This includes a strong commitment to peer participatory principles and honoring multiple pathways of recovery without imposing personal beliefs or recovery approaches onto others.

Working closely with the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director will help oversee daily center operations, support staff coordination and accountability, facilitate groups and community activities, and help maintain a welcoming and emotionally safe environment for all who enter the space.

This role requires strong leadership capacity, initiative, and follow‑through, as well as the ability to navigate competing priorities with flexibility and independent, sound judgment. The ideal candidate will be capable of balancing operational responsibilities with relational leadership and warm community engagement.

Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Daily Flow
  • Help keep the day‑to‑day operations of the center running smoothly
  • Support coordination of daily center logistics, scheduling, programming, and groups/activities/ events
  • Help the center stay organized, prepared, and responsive to changing needs
  • Maintain awareness of operational needs and communicate challenges proactively
  • Assist in implementation of community‑driven solutions
  • Support consistency and follow‑through across day‑to‑day center operations
Administrative Systems & Follow Through
  • Maintain existing tracking, documentation, and reporting systems
  • Support timely completion of administrative responsibilities and center communications
  • Coordinate multiple responsibilities simultaneously with thoughtful attention to detail and follow‑through
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, trainings, and organizational initiatives
  • Uphold confidentiality, professional boundaries, and agency policies
Staff Support, Supervision & Team Communication
