Are you a qualified Vehicle Mechanic with experience working on heavy:duty vehicles and complex mechanical systems? The RoleAs a Vehicle Mechanic, you will carry out maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs on a range of heavy military vehicles and associated equipment. You will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles remain operational, safe, and ready to meet demanding operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy vehicles and associated systems.
- Carry out fault:finding on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
- Follow engineering instructions, technical publications, and repair procedures.
- Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to the highest standards.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance, Vehicle Service and Repair, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, or a related mechanical discipline : this is a mandatory requirement.
- Proven experience maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy:duty vehicles, HGVs, military vehicles, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience of hydraulic and vehicle systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be able to successfully pass a DBS and Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security check.
- Salary up to A GBP 32,760
- 4:day working week
