We are searching for a talented Medical Weight Management Physician.
Hours: Part-time - 36 hours
Shift: Day – no weekend, holiday, or on call
Location: Wareham & Fall River, MA

Position OverviewSouthcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician to join our esteemed team of 4 physicians supported by 6 advanced practice practitioners. The successful candidate will contribute to our tradition of practice excellence and play a pivotal role in advancing patient care in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct evaluations to diagnose clinical obesity, addressing its multifactorial nature with a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
- Treat obesity as a chronic disease with evidence‑based, personalized plans integrating medical, nutritional, behavioral, and emotional care.
- Ensure each patient receives high‑quality care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage obesity‑related conditions and comorbidities.
- Conduct in‑person consultations at our Fall River, Wareham, and Hyannis locations.
- Provide virtual consultations.
- Educate patients on the science and complexities of obesity, emphasizing a supportive environment.
- Use EPIC for all patient interactions.
- Document treatment plans and progress notes in accordance with practice protocols.
- Participate in community outreach and educational events to promote awareness and guidance on nutrition and obesity care.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine.
- Preference for candidates certified in obesity medicine (ABOM).
- Experience providing care for patients with obesity and related conditions.
- Current state medical license and DEA registration.
- Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
