South Shore Early Education – Early Educator, Preschool

Location:

Wareham, Massachusetts. Full‑time position, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Daily schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Base hourly rate (per educational level):
CDA $24.36/hr,
AA/AS $25.37/hr,
BA/BS $27.40/hr.

• Develop and implement daily lessons and curriculum plans using a creative curriculum.
• Create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of students.
• Perform teaching activities that align with the Head Start Performance Standards regulations.
• Assist with meals, monitor buses and other activities as assigned.

• Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEC certification in Preschool required.
• Preferable: CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field.
• Must speak and understand English; knowledge of Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Arabic is helpful.

• Undergo CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check prior to employment.
• Valid Massachusetts state driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Competitive pay commensurate with education, licenses, and experience. Employee retention bonus of $1,000 (taxable) incentive available after 90 successful consecutive days of employment.
