Wareham Public Schools is seeking two caring, dependable, and student-focused Permanent Intermittent (PI) Substitute Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidates will provide daily instructional support in the absence of classroom teachers, ensuring continuity of learning while maintaining a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Assignments may vary by grade level and subject area based on district needs.

For the  School Year, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Administer substitute plans
• Maintain an academic environment within the classroom and school
• Perform duties as assigned by the administration
• Supervise students as assigned by the administration.
• Any duties assigned by the assistant principal responsible for staff attendance.
• The PI Substitute Teacher will be assigned to work in school classrooms Monday-Friday.

Position Type: Part-time

Salary: $120 to $130 Per Day

• A minimum of an associate degree or higher is required. Prior experience working with children in a school or educational setting is preferred. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings and instructional needs. Successful completion of a CORI check and fingerprint-based national criminal background check is required. Include a copy of MA DESE certification, if applicable
