Job Summary
Under direction of the Manager of Patient Services or designee of the assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
AssignmentDetails
- Assignment length: 11-13 week with option to extend for 2 additional 13 week assignments if available
- Hourly rate: $65.00/hr
- Benefits: Health Insurance and 403B retirement plan eligibility
- Hours: 24 or 36 hrs
- Shift: Night shift, 7:15p-7:15a
- Schedule: Work every other weekend and holiday, one weekend shift per week and every other holiday or every weekend
- Area assignment: Med Surg Tele
- Tobey Hospital
- Wareham, MA - Float possibility: During assignment, may be asked to float to any Southcoast Hospital:
Charlton Memorial-Fall River, St. Luke's-New Bedford, and Tobey-Wareham
- Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible for consideration. Former employees must be separated from Southcoast for at least 9 months to be eligible.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- ACLS certification is required.
- Minimum of one year of Med Surg/Tele nursing experience is required.
- Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips.
- Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments is required.
- Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications.
- Epic experience is preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
