Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center

Join our dynamic care team at The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham, Massachusetts, a 4‑star nursing home, as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). We are seeking full‑time and part‑time openings on all shifts, including an every‑other weekend rotation, with a rate of $26 to $29 an hour, depending on the shift. This rate includes shift differentials, which apply to all shifts.

• Must possess an active and unencumbered CNA license in Massachusetts, be in the process of obtaining one, or have recently successfully completed a CNA program.
• CPR certification preferred, but not necessary.
• New graduates welcome!

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Participate in planning and following current resident care plan for all residents under your care.
• Complete resident assignments effectively and promptly.
• Observe changes in resident conditions and promptly report them.
• Document accurately and completely.
• Meet personal grooming needs for each resident.
• Promptly answer call lights and assure that all are placed within reach of the resident.
• Assure the resident care areas are left clean and in an orderly manner.
• Methods of identification of residents are maintained.
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job description.
• Other duties assigned by manager.

• Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilize them appropriately.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non‑professional personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.
