Compensation
Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.
- Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
- Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
- Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections before operating.
- Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times.
- Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
- Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately.
- Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day’s business.
- Clock in/out according to company policy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, and handling core returns.
- Assisted customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
- Driving record that meets the company's 14/18‑point record system.
- Legally required state driver's license and company‑mandated driving eligibility requirements.
- Familiarity with automotive parts.
- Ability to operate other light store equipment.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
