GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The qualified candidate must understand the importance of processing confidential information. Must be able to maintain a complex system of departmental records, reports and databases.
DUTIES- Performs a variety of administrative functions.
- Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation.
- Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations.
- Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports.
- May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget.
- Screens and directs incoming phone calls and inquiries. Provides information as well as some interpretation or department procedures.
- Utilizes Cost Point to process requisitions when receiving purchase requests.
- Places orders for office supplies.
- Handles the full cycle process of giving visitors badges and completing paperwork for badges when necessary.
- Resolves administrative problems and inquiries.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Other Duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 2 years administrative experience
- Ability to operate standard office machines.
- Knowledge of efficient office procedures and recordkeeping practices; standard word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software; e-mail systems; proper English usage, spelling, and punctuation.
- Strong organization skills
- Microsoft software experience required.
- Must have ability to multi-task and problem solve.

Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.

Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
