Position: Transformation Project Manager / Engagement Lead

prosource.it is hiring a Transformation Project Manager / Engagement Lead for a client in the Mobility & Convenience retail sector. This individual will play a key role in shaping and delivering the client’s strategic roadmap, partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, coordinate multiple work streams, and implement a major business transformation program. The ideal candidate combines strategy consulting capabilities, analytical rigor, disciplined project leadership, and executive-level communication.

We are seeking individuals who can structure complex problems, drive execution, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the Mobility & Convenience retail segment.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives across multiple work streams.
  • Lead implementation of transformation initiatives using structured project management methods.
  • Create project charters, integrated plans, timelines, milestones, and success measures.
  • Monitor progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions across teams.
  • Conduct structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, opportunity sizing, and scenario planning.
  • Build business cases, financial models, forecasts, performance metrics, and KPI dashboards.
  • Synthesize quantitative analysis, business insights, and stakeholder input into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, memos, roadmaps, and strategic narratives.
  • Facilitate working sessions, align diverse viewpoints, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive decisions.
  • Support change planning by identifying adoption barriers and coordinating communications and training needs.
  • Contribute to measurable business-performance improvement across the transformation program.

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • Current or recent experience as a consultant or engagement leader within a top-tier global strategy consulting firm is required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading strategic, operational, digital, or organizational transformation programs.
  • Strong project management expertise, including the ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to break down complex business challenges and develop clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities, including financial modeling, forecasting, performance measurement, and business-case evaluation.
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and presenting executive-level deliverables.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and facilitation skills, including the ability to influence senior partners and build consensus across functions.
  • Working knowledge of organizational change principles, transition planning, communications, and training support.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, initiative, accountability, adaptability, and learning agility.
Preferred Industry Experience
  • Knowledge of downstream retail, convenience, fuel operations, energy-sector dynamics, mobility trends, or network optimization.
  • Experience with customer experience, retail operations, merchandising, store performance, mobility hubs, or consumer behavior.
Tools and Technical Skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint and storyboarding skills.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Asana.
  • Experience with Power BI or a comparable data-visualization tool is preferred.
Work Environment and Travel
  • Approximately 25% travel is expected.
  • Travel will primarily include about one week per month in Cleveland, with occasional travel to other U.S. locations as business needs require.
  • The role supports a large-scale transformation within a U.S. retail business.
