Recreation Assistant; ITT

Job Title

Serves as the subject matter expert in all aspects of the Information, Tickets and Travel (ITT) section. Responsible for the economic and efficient operation of the ITT section. Plans, organizes, and coordinates the details of recurring and nonrecurring activities and special events, to include commercial reservation and ticketing services for airlines, hotels, cruises, tour packages, and other travel related services. Develop group tours designed to stimulate and sustain the interests of participants.

Provides clear and accurate guidance and coordination of leisure travel information and referral services for both individual and group customers. Schedules group tours and other related activities, ensuring maximum participation. Operates cash registers and computerized point of sale system and reservation software program; accepting cash, checks and credit cards for merchandise and services. Responsible for change fund, cashier ticket inventory and daily receipts.

Balances cash reports and prepare bank deposits. Prepare daily and weekly financial reports. Accepts reservations for shows and takes registration and money for tours. Stocks brochure racks and keeps storage room organized. Answers telephones. Gives written and verbal information to customers. Assist with verifying weekly and monthly inventories; reports results to Air Force Central Ticket Office (AFCTO); enters results into inventory control system.

Creates and updates vouchers. Receives tickets on computerized tracking systems. Performs a variety of office duties to include route and file correspondence. Works on a computer daily. Reports directly to Director of Arts & Crafts/ ITT/Outdoor Recreation. Performs other related duties as assigned. Subject to an irregular tour of duty.
