Front Desk Coordinator 1 with override

Responsibilities

• Greet and receive customers, determine the nature of visit, and notify appropriate team member(s)
• Perform various administrative duties
• Welcome visitors to the practice and provide information about clinic features
• Answer, screen, and route incoming calls and take messages as needed
• Check‑in and collect general information from patients on their first visit
• Verify insurance information
• Notify clinicians of patient arrival and readiness
• Make appointments for returning patients as necessary
• Print/reprint appointment reminders and school/work excuses
• Make changes to the patient schedule as necessary
• Coordinate payment arrangements or account resolution
• Receive, store, and deliver shipments and mail
• Takes payments and posts to account
• Update charts and patient information
• Drive internal marketing initiatives and foster participation from everyone

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) year of administrative experience preferred
• Bilingual a plus, but not required
