Role Overview: A Dental Hygienist provides essential clinical care, patient education, and preventive services within a dental practice. They are recognized as an elite clinical provider and patient advocate, integral to the patient care team, delivering high-quality dental treatments and fostering positive patient experiences.
Responsibilities Include
- Performing dental hygiene procedures and patient screenings
- Documenting medical histories accurately
- Supporting patient education on oral health
- Maintaining clinical excellence with ongoing skill development
- Current dental hygienist license in Georgia
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Knowledge of dental procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation
- CPR certification
- Experience with digital x-rays, digital scanners, Velscope, Diagnodent, and electronic health records (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong desire to learn and grow clinically
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- Availability for periodic training sessions
- Completion of TB test prior to employment (excluding certain states)
