• Teaching/Research Assistant: expected 13 hrs/week (650 hrs/year) to assist the Department and College.
• Teaching responsibilities for laboratories or discussion sessions; limited number of didactic lectures per semester; assigned to a professor for classroom activities such as grading, recording, proctoring, and preparation of course materials, etc.; assistance with departmental needs such as care of animals and animal facility, analytical instrumentation, or Department equipment and facilities.
• Research Assistant: provide laboratory support including planning studies and organizing supplies; conducting Franz cell skin transport studies; running assays for drug or cosmetic molecules; data analysis; writing reports. Student may work up to 20 hrs/week in accordance with student employment policies.

• Teaching Assistants must be full‑time graduate students in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in good academic standing and making satisfactory progress toward research and academic goals.
• Research Assistants must have the ability to understand the rationale for the studies, pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, work safely in a laboratory environment, have good oral and written communication skills, exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information/projects, prioritize work and complete assignments accurately, independently or as part of a team, and follow direction, policies, or procedures.
• Students will receive ongoing feedback regarding their work performance and will have a formal evaluation once a year.

• Teaching Assistant stipend: $654 bi‑weekly.
• Research Assistant stipend: $192.30 bi‑weekly.
• Scheduled hours: 20 hrs/week.

Start Date:

05/31/2026 End Date: 06/30/2026. Length of employment depends on the need for the work, availability of funds and is contingent upon the student continuing in good status with the University.
