Join Us as a Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher. We are a community-based organization providing developmental education for ages six weeks to twelve years across 11 states. We serve a large network of children and families and seek passionate educators to contribute to a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities- Assist the GA Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities in alignment with the GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards and the GA Pre-K Curriculum objectives.
- Contribute to planning and implementing learning experiences that support physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive development, and creative expression.
- Observe and assess children’s development and help tailor curriculum to meet individual needs.
- Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere for children and families and collaborate with team members to support student learning.
- Pass a background check, have a High School Diploma, and hold at least one of the following:
Technical Certificate of Credit in early childhood education, Specialist degree or PhD, Paraprofessional Certificate by GaPSC, Master’s degree in any field, Georgia teacher certificate, CDA credential, or a Bachelor’s/Associate degree in any field. - Genuine empathy and understanding of children’s needs and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and changing circumstances.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of working with children.
