- Warner Robins, Georgia. This position is classified to strengthen delivery of instruction to support the District’s mission.
- Conduct whole group, small group or individual classroom activities in accordance with specific program requirements.
- Help with all aspects of the daily routine.
- Assist with supervision of students.
- Follow direction of the supervising teacher.
- Assist with student assessment, grading work and tests, and collect data on student progress.
- Assist with routine record keeping.
- Assist with preparation of materials for instruction.
- Assist with classroom housekeeping.
- Assist students with daily activities and school functions.
- Assist in ordering and inventorying classroom equipment and materials.
- Assist with school-wide supervision.
- Participate in Professional Learning.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Education and/or
Experience:
Education level must be within accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. - Certificate or License
Required:
Certification as required by the Professional Standards Commission. - Language
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend job-specific technical information, simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and position-specific manuals. Ability to write correspondence and reports. Ability to effectively articulate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to conduct position-related data analysis, compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs. - Reasoning Ability: Ability to facilitate problem-solving processes. Ability to synthesize workable options from given facts and assist in the development of workable solutions.
- Technical Ability: Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job specified technologies.

Ability to interact effectively with colleagues, administrators, teachers, staff members, students using tactful yet effective skills. Collaborate well with others, display a cooperative attitude, be service oriented and actively seek ways to assist others.
Must serve as a role model to students. Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards required.
Physical DemandsWalk, stand, lift; occasionally crouch or kneel. Must be able to exert or lift up to 50-75 pounds.
Work EnvironmentFrequent travel to home sites, school sites; requires exposure to traffic and outdoor elements. Work may be outdoors in varying weather. Noise level usually moderate.
