Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Manufacturing System Engineer. This position will be located at our site in Warner Robins, GA. where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Depot Manufacturing Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.

Position is on-site in Warner Robins, GA. and cannot be performed remotely

This position may be filled at either Principal or Sr Principal Manufacturing System Engineer.

We seek a Principal or Sr. Principal Manufacturing System Engineer that uses a unique skill set that includes a hands-on approach and act as the depot production focal point for the management of assembly processes and reporting.

The primary responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:

• Performing activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering.

• Acts as a leader and understands that erroneous decisions on their part will result in probable delay and failure of organizational objectives

• Coordinates with the manufacturing team on day-to-day activities

• Resolves complex process issues.

• Works as a liaison between manufacturing engineering, operations, material operations and program management.

• Acts as the MRP/ERP/MES/iMRO subject matter expert for the Warner Robins location

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Manufacturing System Engineer :

• Bachelor’s degree in science with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience.

• 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

• Active Secret clearance at time of application

• Experience supporting operational customers with system execution

• Minimum 5-years of experience with SAP MRP/ERP system.

• SAP level one super user or level 2 experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment

• Candidate will have sound technical experience and understanding of Production

Processes for Assembly, Fabrication, Planning & Tooling

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Manufacturing System Engineer :

• Bachelor’s degree in science with 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience.

• 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

• Active Secret clearance at time of application

• Experience supporting operational customers with system execution

• Minimum 5-years of experience with SAP MRP/ERP system.

• SAP level one super user or level 2 experience
