Systems Engineer II – Life Cycle Space & Airborne Center
Location:
Warner Robins, GA (Robins AFB – onsite).
- Work directly with customers to develop CONOPS, system architectures, and requirements.
- Manage qualification, verification, and validation efforts for systems.
- Analyze system functions and physical architectures; allocate requirements across subsystems.
- Support design decision‑making through structured trade studies in a formal systems engineering environment.
- Provide troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root‑cause and corrective‑action processes, using advanced lab or field test equipment.
- Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain engineering specifications (DS, ARD, etc.) and drawings (schematics and assembly drawings).
- Provide technical guidance and support to Engineering IPTL teams.
- Attend team meetings, teleconferences, and working group sessions as required.
- Coordinate and support sustainment efforts, managing depot returns and repair activities.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving electronic‑related issues using standard commercial test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MATLAB, and Python for data analysis, workflow automation, and engineering decision support.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance (required prior to start). U.S. citizenship required.
- Preferred experience with military weapons‑conveyance platforms (ships, ground systems, aircraft).
- Knowledge of electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communication protocols.
- Experience reading software routines and integrating them with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred.
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including scripting or automation for data collection and analysis.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, MATLAB, or Python for data analysis and automation.
- Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 (USD).
