Senior Mechanical Engineer - Power Utility

Jobot is actively seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for a leading Power Utility organization. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of the energy industry, contributing to the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems in hydroelectric plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Solid Works, AutoCAD, and a bachelor's degree in engineering.

Salary: $130,000 - $165,000 per year

• Design, analyze, and maintain mechanical systems in hydroelectric plants in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
• Utilize Solid Works and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models and designs for mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions for complex mechanical engineering problems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct reliability analysis and risk assessments of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Participate in project planning and management, including cost estimation, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including environmental and safety regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the power utility sector.
• Proficiency in Solid Works, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD software.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems in hydroelectric plants.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
