Position: 10081 - Configuration Management Support - Senior

Responsibilities

Provide Configuration Management (CM) support in the four CM disciplines:
Configuration Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, and Audits.
Review and analyze the Development/Sustainment Contractor’s CM program and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Maintain CM files including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting records.
Implement CM plans.
Participate in the Change Control Board (CCB), recording approved changes, coordinating, scheduling, and facilitating meetings, creating agenda and meeting minutes.
Prepare for, conduct, and/or support major audits such as Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), and compliance audits, including audit planning, hardware and software Configuration Items (CIs) audits, and disposition.
Track Change Requests (CRs) and Discrepancy Reports (DRs) / Problem Reports (PRs).
Perform studies and monitor effectiveness of CM plans to identify potential and existing problems and make recommendations for resolution.
Assist the Government in developing and administering CM plans, maintaining design traceability and integrity, convening and managing change boards, and preparing for and attending major events such as Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), PCAs, FCAs, and CCBs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF organizations.

15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF organizations.

Certification Requirement: Configuration Manager (CM) certification from a nationally recognized organization such as National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII), or Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC).

Physical Requirements: Occasional work in and around aircraft and industrial areas including climbing stairs, ladders, work stands, wing stands, accessing flight decks, cargo bays, and potentially confined spaces. Exposure to tripping hazards and sharp edges.
