Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • General Managements:
    • Coordinates, monitors, and performs functions directly and indirectly related to facility management activities in an automotive manufacturing environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives. Conducts audits of utility machinery operating conditions and provides recommendations for utility machinery maintenance based on findings.
    • Performs a variety of functions such as planning, installation, inspection, corrective, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on utility/WWTP equipment including air compressors, HVAC units, piping, chillers, cooling towers, generators, etc.
    • During new facility construction, plans, manages installation, inspection, and training.
    • Visually inspects utility equipment and facility issues to locate potential malfunctions, wear, misalignment, defective parts, and deterioration.
    • Manages maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of utility generation equipment such as air compressors, compressed air dryers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and HVAC systems.
    • Responds to work requests and service calls as directed, performing a variety of tasks that support the organization.
    • Provides project support by troubleshooting, applying knowledge, and providing sketches or computer‑generated designs of machine/facility components.
    • Administers, coordinates, and complies with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
    • Prioritizes objectives and implements strategies to achieve company initiatives and oversees the development and achievement of them across the organization.
    • Drives collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
    • Controls and coordinates planned and shutdown maintenance tasks to keep machinery in good condition.
    • Leads all Utility Machinery Management operations including purchasing, maintenance, repair, inventory, transportation, storage, and cleaning.
    • Reviews and writes maintenance reports (e.g., machinery failure).
    • Develops and modifies periodical and preventive maintenance plans to reduce machinery failure.
    • Sets up the budget for machinery improvement.
    • Builds a good rapport with suppliers and other manufacturers.
    • Regularly communicates with the engineers in Production.
    • Prepares for audits and quality inspections.
  • Budget & Spare Parts Management:
    • Shop‑wise manages and monitors the purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance material, including tools and subsidiary materials.
    • Shop‑wise controls the maintenance budget of the year, performing monthly planning and analysis to secure the budget.
  • Shop Member Management:
    • Supervises and controls conflicts in the organization and cares for individual distress from the work; includes organization control, recruitment, disciplinary measures, appraisal, etc.
    • Communicates clearly to members about direction, company business decisions, and official information.
    • Evaluates and mentors shop members to encourage continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO

THE ROLE

Minimum:

  • More than 10 years of mechanical facility management experience in automated plants.
  • Experience managing more than 20 team members.
  • Ability to understand drawings and specifications of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred:

  • More than 5 years of mechanical facility management experience in a major automotive industry in the U.S.
  • Holders of mechanical or electrical certifications.
  • Performed many equipment installations including design study, paperwork, inspection, and testing of new/modified equipment and processes.
