Position SummaryDMAero is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace and defense engineering programs. The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface between customers, company leadership, engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure programs are executed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements.
This position requires strong leadership, technical aptitude, customer engagement skills, and experience managing complex engineering efforts in a government contracting environment.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple aerospace and defense programs from contract award through completion
- Serve as the primary customer point of contact for assigned programs
- Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, risk registers, and execution plans
- Manage all contract deliverables to ensure on time delivery
- Follow and support ISO certification requirements
- Coordinate activities across systems, electrical, software, FPGA, manufacturing, logistics, and test teams
- Lead program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and status briefings with customers and company leadership
- Track contract performance, deliverables, milestones, and financial metrics
- Identify program risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support proposal development, capture activities, and business growth initiatives
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and strategic partners
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations
- Prepare and present executive-level reports on program status, risks, opportunities, and financial performance
- Support customer visits, program audits, and government reviews
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, or related field
- 10+ years of experience managing aerospace, defense, engineering, or technical programs
- Experience supporting DoD, USAF, or government contracts
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract execution
- Experience leading cross‑functional technical teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
- PMP Certification
- Experience supporting military aviation platforms
- Familiarity with systems engineering, software development, avionics integration, or aircraft modification programs
- Experience with FAR/DFARS requirements and government contracting practices
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs and customer accounts
