Vanderlande's Controls Engineering Department is responsible for the designing, programming, commissioning, and testing of material handling systems for our customers. This is an entry level position, as a Controls Project Engineer II, you will be responsible for commissioning /testing, the design of both small- and large-scale material handling systems that integrate hardware and software components. This position emphasizes PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) aspects of the system;

however, SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) activities may also be included as part of the job responsibilities.

• Configure component level devices
• Perform device level testing in support of PLC commissioning
• Perform device level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
• Document device level testing for PLC and SCADA commissioning (commissioning Checklist)
• Perform zone level testing in support of PLC commissioning
• Perform zone level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
• Document zone level testing for PLC and SCADA commissioning (commissioning Checklist)
• Assist with area level testing in support of PLC commissioning
• Assist with area level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
• Document daily progress of assigned tasks
• Manage punch lists (electrical / mechanical)
• Monitor and document the progress of subcontractors
• Follow all safety requirements at the jobsite
