Electronics Test & Fabrication Technician
PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Test & Fabrication Technician in Warner Robins, Georgia for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will fabricate, test, troubleshoot, modify, and assemble electronic and electromechanical systems and specialized test equipment. The technician will work from schematics and engineering documentation to perform component-level fault isolation, developmental testing, and electronic assembly work.
Required Skills
- Associate's degree in an electronics-related field or an electronics-related Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), with 5+ years of relevant electronics experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Electronics fabrication experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, layouts, and technical instructions.
- Soldering experience and applicable solder certification.
- Experience performing electronic testing, checkout, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), VOMs, signal generators, or similar electronic test equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and isolate electronic malfunctions down to the component level.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to work onsite in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Preferred Skills
- IPC J-STD soldering certification.
- Micro-soldering experience.
- Cable assembly certification.
- Experience fabricating, testing, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies.
- Experience fabricating, testing, and troubleshooting cable assemblies.
- Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) in a laboratory environment.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting using Class B equipment.
- Experience testing and tuning microwave assemblies.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting Electronic Warfare systems.
What You'll Do
- Fabricate, modify, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic and electromechanical systems.
- Build and support prototype circuitry, specialized test equipment, and development systems.
- Perform routine operational testing, checkout, troubleshooting, and fault isolation.
- Diagnose electronic failures down to the component level.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, written instructions, and engineering plans.
- Conduct defined engineering tests and collect test data.
- Use oscilloscopes, VOMs, DMMs, signal generators, and similar diagnostic equipment.
- Support testing of analog, digital, video, and logic circuitry.
- Perform fabrication and testing activities supporting ground-based missile test equipment.
- Assist engineering teams with developmental testing and troubleshooting activities.
Work Schedule / Shift
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM–12:30 AM.
- Requisition identifies the work schedule as 9/80
