Terma Inc, a US subsidiary of Denmark-based Terma A/S, is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join its dynamic team in Warner Robins, GA. The company has established a strong presence in the aerospace, defense, and security sectors, providing mission-critical solutions to the US DoD, Homeland Security, and major Aero/Space Prime Contractors for over 30 years. The role involves participating in the development of next-generation Airborne Defensive Systems within a rapidly growing product development team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in development projects for next-generation Airborne Defensive Systems.
- Analyze design requirements from a system and hardware perspective.
- Debug complex circuits and document findings with solutions.
- Promote technical solutions across different projects and ensure consistency in hardware design.
- Support Project Managers in hardware planning and component selection.
- Work with suppliers to build, test, and qualify circuit boards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research, design, development, and testing of systems and components.
Skills:
- Experience in circuit design and simulation (Analog and Digital).
- Proficiency with schematic capture tools (preferably OrCAD/Cadence).
- Ability to develop automated self-checking test benches and verify HDL code.
- Knowledge of FPGA architecture and high-speed digital signal integrity.
- Familiarity with video and avionic interfaces, including 1553 and ARINC.
- Experience with EMI design and testing to MIL-STD-461.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
