Senior Accountant; Grandview

Church of the Highlands is looking for a ministry-focused, Christ-centered Accountant to join the Accounting Team at the Central Offices located at the Grandview Campus. Experience and Knowledge

Required:

• A follower of Jesus Christ.
• Called to work in full-time ministry.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including financial transaction review and general accounting processes.
• Intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new financial systems and software.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial information.
• Prior experience reviewing or overseeing financial transactions or supporting junior staff preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct and Ramp financial systems preferred.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Oversee the review and analysis of financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Supervise and support the Accountant team responsible for reviewing department-level financial activity.
• Review financial transactions for assigned departments and escalate issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with departments and campuses to educate and resource team on accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in counting and processing weekly offerings.
• Support the implementation of financial accounting policies and procedures.
