Finance Controller

Overview

Our client, a growing Chemical Manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead and build its accounting and finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a high-growth manufacturing environment and partnering closely with executive leadership.

• Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and month-end close
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve production economics and profitability
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis initiatives
• Monitor working capital, including inventory, receivables, payables, and cash management
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial controls, and reporting requirements
• Support ERP implementation, process improvements, and financial system optimization
• Create management dashboards, KPI reporting, and decision-support analytics

• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
• 7–10 years of accounting and finance experience
• 5+ years of experience within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, materials, or process manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close processes
• Expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
• Experience operating in startup, private equity-backed, or high-growth environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Georgia state tax requirements and manufacturing incentives is a plus
