- Efficiently meets the needs of the membership while reviewing loan applications
.- Review and evaluate consumer loan applications, to include all secured and unsecured consumer loans, including but not limited to automobiles, Home Equity lines and loans, personal loans and credit cards, in accordance with established lending guidelines and credit union policies.
- Analyze applicant’s credit history, income sources, employment history, and other financial data to assess their creditworthiness.
- Utilize loan origination software, credit scoring models, and risk assessment tools to make informed lending decisions.
- Collaborate with branch and consumer lending team members, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentation for accurate loan evaluations.
- Make sound decisions while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to fair lending practices, truth in lending and privacy laws.
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to loan decision inquiries from both internal staff and members.
- Communicate lending decisions to branch and lending staff, offering explanations when needed.
- Demonstrate a high-level knowledge of lending products and services
.- Actively participates in and completes all required loan training.
- Serves as a resource to help coach and develop all team members with lending responsibilities to strengthen products per household with our members.
- Maintain acceptable past dues and charge-offs
- Maintain acceptable approval ratios
- Meets all team, individual and department goals for underwriting measurements.
- Reviews applications in a volume consistent with the department
- Deliver high level of quality service (both internally and externally)..
- Completes daily tasks with a high regard for accuracy, efficiency and professionalism.
- Provides information, answering questions and resolving member issues in a timely and professional manner meeting department service standards.
- Prioritizes work to achieve goals and meets required time frames and deadlines.
- Maintains quality service levels through member feedback, branch feedback, and loan reviews.
- Additional Functions:
- Performs routine tasks involved in cross-selling and servicing loans, as well as other accounts
- Perform duties in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations

Education and Experience
Required:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years progressive experience in consumer lending credit concepts and reviewing and evaluating applications
- High level knowledge of loan products and risks relate to consumer lending.
- Must be eligible to register with and must maintain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing & Registry (NMLS).
- Knowledge & Skills Required
:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years progressive experience in consumer lending credit concepts and reviewing and evaluating applications
- High level knowledge of loan products and risks as it relates to consumer lending.
- Must be eligible to register with and must maintain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing & Registry (NMLS).
