Responsibilities
- Perform and assist in buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements for private equity, mezzanine funds, and strategic buyers.
- Analyze large volumes of data to prepare an Excel data book, emphasizing quality of earnings, debt and debt‑like, and net working capital analysis.
- Understand and evaluate financial and operational trends of target companies, and challenge target assumptions.
- Assist and lead sections of due diligence meetings with target management.
- Create and design tailored reports for key issues such as normalized earnings, financial reporting, networking capital trends, and indebtedness considerations.
- Communicate due diligence findings confidently, verbally and in written reports.
- Collaborate and work within teams to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
- Develop and strengthen productive working relationships with client personnel.
- Collaborate with other Elliott Davis team members.
- A minimum of three years of experience with audit or transaction services.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Current licensed CPA preferred.
- Big 4, National or large regional firm experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude toward business development.
- Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting issues.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi‑task).
- Superior client service focus.
- Ability to travel to client locations as required.
