The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Electronic Technician in support of the Department of Defense and Defense Logistics Agency acquisition and logistics communities in Acquisition Method Code/Acquisition Method Suffix Code (AMC/AMSC) determination and assignment for all WR prime avionics, electronics, and weapons systems, and to provide technical support to WR Engineering Support Activities (ESA). The 429 SCMS/GUMACA at Robins defines and assigns appropriate Acquisition Method Suffix Code/Acquisition Method Suffix Code (AMC/AMSC) on the AMC/AMSC Screening Analysis Worksheet (SAW), provides summary information concerning the technical data to the contract officer and other Government personnel concerning its suitability to support or not support competitive contracting.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Obtain & maintain a Security clearance (if applicable).
  • PCS expenses, if authorized, will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations.
  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoW Priority Placement Program.
  • May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours.
  • Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of engineering data acquisition and management, the Competition in Contracting Act of 1984 (CICA), DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) PGI 217.7506 (DoD Spare Parts Breakout Program), AFI 23-105, AFMCI 21-113, Air Force processes and systems and the nature of the commodities assigned.
  • Knowledge of standard safety and health practices and established policies and procedures.
  • Skill to make sound judgments relative to the DoD Spare Parts Breakout program in relation to ALC goals, to effectively and tactfully communicate both orally and in writing with staff and management of the assigned organization and to guide and motivate lower level technicians.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and coordinate engineering data management and AMC/AMSC screening workload and assignments in order to meet program requirements and objectives, to interpret laws, statutes, directives, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods as they relate to all aspects of engineering data management and AMC/AMSC screening actions and to produce meaningful metrics to drive improvements to the process.
